I generally do not re-tweet my post unless I am promoting a local event. If you are trying to reach a larger audience who may not be actively following you, RTing makes sense.

I've personally never retweeted myself. If I had something I wanted to repeat, I would just simply repost it. Literally RT'ing it might make you seem presumptuous. IMHO, there's a rash of inappropriate RT'ing going on, anyway. but that's just me.
Just wondering if you have ever RT your own tweet at a different time and if this is a good practice or if you frown upon tweeters who do this? I did this for the first time today and here is my logic:
